The route near Napoli (Naples area)

Two days in Naples will not «finish» the city — and should not. They are enough to feel its pace: basalt paving, coffee at the counter, a church that opens when you least expect it, Vesuvius peeking between buildings.

Day one is the old centre. Leave Gesù Nuovo early, walk Spaccanapoli without turning it into a checklist race, and keep room for one stop that stays with you. Evening on the waterfront: Castel dell’Ovo and Caracciolo are the honest way to close the day.

Day two needs different air. Climb to Vomero (funicular, Charterhouse, Sant’Elmo) or go to MANN if you want Pompeii’s treasures without the ruins. Leave the afternoon loose. Good shoes, book tickets where needed, and one empty evening in the plan.

FAQ

2 city days or 1 city + 1 Pompeii?

First time and you love cities: stay in Naples. If antiquity is the priority, one day ruins and one day centre.

Do I need a car?

No. In two city days a car is almost always a burden.
